The Shawn Punjwani Hotel & Restaurant Management Scholarship is a program that seeks to empower students and professionals currently in pursuit of a degree or other academic qualifications within the fields of:

Perhaps you currently maintain an entry level position at a hotel or restaurant, but you aspire to achieve much greater heights. If you’re on an upward trajectory towards success in hospitality, then you may want to consider applying for Shawn Punjwani’s first-ever Hotel & Restaurant Management Scholarship!
Every story of success starts somewhere. Just like you, successful hotelier Shawn Punjwani wasn’t always at the top. He had to work his way up from his early days as an entrepreneur to a first-time hotelier and established businessperson in Minneapolis. Today, Punjwani is a respected and successful real estate developer and hospitality management professional in the lodging industry. But he still remembers where he came from and the rewarding uphill battle he endured along the way. Now, he’s passing the torch onto you: a dreamer who aspires to climb the ladder of success in hospitality, business management, hotel management and/or lodging.
The Shawn Punjwani Hotel & Restaurant Management Scholarship will grant one deserving student with a scholarship award of $250.00 to be used towards educational costs and pursuits.
Eligibility Criteria
In order to qualify for Shawn Punjwani’s Hotel & Restaurant Management Scholarship for hospitality students and professionals, you must meet the following criteria:
- Current enrollment in a college, university, trade school or other educational institution in any state in the United States of America
- A minimum of 2 years of experience working in hospitality, lodging or business
- A Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.5 or higher (or equivalent standing)
- A dream of managing and/or owning a restaurant, hotel or other hospitality business!
Although it is not required that you currently maintain a management level position, the ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the steps he/she is taking to make this promotion a reality.
How to Apply
The deadline to apply for the Shawn Punjwani Hotel & Restaurant Management Scholarship is December 30, 2022. Applicants must be currently enrolled or registered to enroll in a degree or certificate program at the time of submitting the application for consideration.
